The best hiking tours in Morocco are the Imlil Valley Loop and Ourika Waterfalls hike for beginners, the Ouzoud Falls and Ouirgane walks for families, and the 2-day Mount Toubkal trek for experienced hikers — all guided, from €60–€245.
These are the hiking tours we would send our own family on — the routes that show the Atlas at its very best, ranked by scenery, accessibility and value. Every one is a guided day hike (or short overnight) from Marrakech, with private transfer, licensed Berber guide, lunch and water included. Use this list to match a route to your fitness, your time and the kind of day you want.
Easy tours (Imlil, Agafay, Ouzoud) suit beginners, families and anyone who wants a relaxed day — 3–5 hours, little elevation gain. Moderate tours (Ourika, Ouirgane, Kik, Oukaïmeden) need reasonable fitness — 5–7 hours with 400–700 m gain. Hard tours (Toubkal, Azzaden 3-day) need good fitness and recent hill-walking experience.
Book online via any tour page (secure PayPal checkout, deposit or full payment) or message us on WhatsApp for a private date. Every tour includes private Marrakech transfer, licensed guide, lunch and water. Deposits are transferable to new dates; full refund terms are shown at checkout. Day hikes can often be arranged 1–2 days ahead; book Toubkal 2+ weeks ahead in peak season.
The Imlil Valley Loop — a gentle 4–5 hour walk through Berber villages and walnut groves with little elevation gain, perfect for beginners and families. From €62 including transfer, guide and lunch.
The Three Valleys day hike and the Kik Plateau both offer sweeping Toubkal views; Ouzoud is the most dramatic for water. For a single iconic image, the Toubkal summit at dawn is unbeatable.
Day hikes run 4–8 hours including transfers (1–1.5 hr each way from Marrakech). The Toubkal trek is 2 days with an overnight at the refuge.
Private Marrakech-to-trailhead transfer, licensed Berber guide, lunch and water on day hikes; guide, mule, refuge, meals and transfer on multi-day treks. Personal insurance, drinks and tips are extra.
For easy tours, no — just be able to walk for a few hours. For moderate tours, reasonable fitness. For Toubkal, good cardiovascular fitness and ideally recent hill-walking experience.
Day hikes from €62–€75 per person all-inclusive. The 2-day Toubkal trek from €245. Every tour page shows a transparent trek-plus-transfer breakdown.
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) for most tours. Summer suits the highest routes; winter brings snow above 3,000 m.
