The best treks in Morocco are the 2-day Mount Toubkal summit trek for a short challenge, the 4-day Azzaden–Toubkal Circuit for the best High Atlas loop, the 5-day M'Goun Traverse for wild altitude, and the Siroua Trek for solitude.
These are the treks that define Moroccan trekking — the routes our guides return to most often, chosen for the quality of the walking, the variety of the landscape and the honesty of the experience. Each is multi-day, fully guided and supported by a mule team. Use this guide to compare them by difficulty, duration and the kind of journey you want.

Book online via any trek page or message us on WhatsApp for a private date. Every trek includes a licensed guide, mule team, accommodation, all meals, bottled water and private Marrakech-to-trailhead transfer. Book Toubkal 2+ weeks ahead in peak season (April–May, September–October); remote treks (M'Goun, Saghro) need 1–2 weeks' notice for guide, cook and mule logistics.
The 3-day Toubkal (gentler acclimatisation than the 2-day), the Siroua Trek, and Aït Bougmez are the best first multi-day treks — moderate difficulty, good infrastructure and rewarding without being extreme.
The Azzaden–Toubkal Circuit combines the wildest High Atlas valley with a summit finish — widely regarded as the most scenic single trek. M'Goun and Saghro are equally dramatic but more remote.
From 2 days (Toubkal) to 7 days (Saghro). Most popular treks are 3–5 days. Each day is 5–8 hours of walking with 500–1,000 m of ascent.
Moderate to hard. You need good cardiovascular fitness and ideally recent hill-walking experience. High-altitude treks (Toubkal, M'Goun) add acclimatisation considerations.
Licensed guide, mule team for your main bag, accommodation (refuge, guesthouse or camp), all meals, bottled water and private Marrakech transfers. Insurance, drinks, gear rental and tips are extra.
From €245 for the 2-day Toubkal. Longer treks scale with days — a 4-day Azzaden circuit around €395, a 5-day M'Goun traverse around €495. Private departures cost more.
April–May and September–October for most treks. Summer suits the highest routes. Winter brings snow above 3,000 m — good for winter Toubkal with crampons, but high passes may be impassable.
